This Privacy Policy explains how Virtual World Search, Inc. collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use ATEK Grid. We collect only what we need to operate the Services, support accounts, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Information We Collect

Account data: email address, avatar name, login credentials (stored securely), and account status/role data.
Technical data: IP address, device/session identifiers, timestamps, browser/user-agent, and cookies for login/session stability.
In-world operational data: avatar identifiers used for authentication and service features; region/system logs for moderation and diagnostics.
Transactions: records needed to process GT activity and platform purchases (where applicable).
Support communications: messages you send to support, including attachments you provide.

Avoid posting personal real-life identifying information publicly in-world or on public pages. If you choose to do so, you assume the associated risk.

How We Use Information

Operate the Services: account creation, authentication, viewer connections, and core platform functionality.
Safety and enforcement: detect fraud, prevent abuse, investigate reports, and enforce Terms.
Service improvement: performance monitoring, debugging, and reliability enhancements.
Communications: support responses and important service notifications.
Compliance: meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Sharing, Hypergrid, and Third Parties

We may share information in limited circumstances: (1) with service providers who help us operate the platform (under confidentiality), (2) to comply with law or protect rights and safety, and (3) as required to enable technical features you use.

Hypergrid travel (if enabled): your avatar name and certain technical identifiers (such as IP address/session metadata) may be transmitted to destination grids to enable travel.
Third-party sites: links to external websites/services are not controlled by ATEK and may follow different privacy practices.

Hypergrid travel is inherently cross-platform. If you travel, you are interacting with third-party operators outside our control.

Your Rights and Choices

Access and correction: you may request access to or correction of account information we maintain.
Deletion: you may request account deletion, subject to retention needs for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and operational integrity.
Opt-out: you may opt out of non-essential communications where applicable.

“Right to be forgotten” requests are evaluated in good faith; some records must be retained to comply with law or protect the platform from abuse.

Security and Data Retention
